PURPOSE:To attain the reduction of vibration of the structure with a limited control force even at a large vibrating level by exerting an attenuating force on a beam depending on the polarity of the vibrating speed of the beam as the control force of an actuator. CONSTITUTION:When an external force is applied to the beam 2 and it is vibrated, the vibration is detected by an acceleration meter 4, and aftar it is converted into a vibrating speed by an integration device 5, the polarity of the vibrating speed is discriminated by a polarity discriminator 10. Then a bipolar voltage is response to the polarity is generated by a voltage generator 11 to generate a prescribed amplitude of control force to the actuator 7 via a power amplifier 6. The control force acts as a damping force equivalent to a Coulomb friction force to damp the vibration of the beam 2. Further, a level discriminator 13 discriminates the level of the vibrating speed, turns on a switch 12 at the vibrating speed over a certain level to control it. |
