PURPOSE:To minimize the volume of off-track of a magnetic head due to the difference of temperature, by adjusting the thermal expansion coefficiency of total magnetic head arm by forming it with compound material which is composed of the layers of light metal and resin and adjusting the ratio cubic ratio of the resin. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic discs 12, 12' are fixed on the rotary axis by spacer 13, and inside magnetic head 16 and outside magnetic head 17, 17; are mounted by a support part material 18. An head arm 21 has a sandwitch structure with aluminum alloy 22-1, 22-2 and polyamide resin being adhered as a monoblock by epoxy resin adhesive. The terminal expansion coefficiency a of the arm 21 linearly increases, when the cubic ratio v of the resin 23 is more than about 15%. Therefore by setting the v at the necessary value, it is possible to make a head arm which has any desired thermal expansion coefficiency, and then the occerrence of off-track can be almost completely restricted. |
