A non-magnetic substrate material represented by the general formula, NixMn2-xO2, where 0.05 < x < 1, which can contain, if desired, not more than 10 DEG % by weight of at least one of Al, Cr, Si, Sn and Ba as a secondary component on the basis of the material, is suitable for vapor-depositing a magnetic film of Fe-Ni, Fe-Al-Si, etc. -based alloys. |
