PURPOSE:To select and display the most proper form in case of enlargement as well as reduction of an original by detecting each side of the original and displaying a longitudinal feed form or a transverse feed form in accordance with the detection result. CONSTITUTION:An original 2 is placed and set on an original platen 1, and the X side and the Y side of the original 2 are detected by levers 6a and 6b, a sensor 8, or an optical sensor detector consisting of a mirror 10, a lens 12, and an optical sensor 14. If the X side is longer than the Y side as the detection output, the longitudinal feed form is displayed; and if the X side is shorter than the Y side, the transverse feed form is displayed; and thus, a proper form is selected and displayed. |
