PURPOSE:To perform always uniform development by identifying the color of the developer in a developing device, and switching a developing bias potential in accordance with the identified result. CONSTITUTION:Projections 23b, 23c and 23d which are different in position by the color of the internal developer are formed in the lower part of a case 23 of a developing device 9, and a connecting pin 27 is provided for supplying the developing bias potential to a developing sleeve in the case 23. When projections 23b-23d are brought into contact with microswitches 28-30, they close contacts to switch the developing bias potential of the developing sleeve. |
