PURPOSE:To lengthen the farthest measurable distance by providing a semi- spherical transparent envelope inside an inverted-truncated-cone-shaped concavity for mounting a chip. CONSTITUTION:Light emitted from a light-emitting element 1a of this projector for an apparatus for measuring distance are transmitted at the maximum out of a semi-spherical envelope 10a, and moreover, the rays of light from the front and lateral surfaces of the light-emitting element 1a can be reflected in the direction vertical to the front surface of the element by the reflecting wall 4 of an inverted-truncated-cone-shaped concavity. Thereby the light emitted from the light-emitting element 1a can be made incident on a projection lens (not shown in the figures) efficiently. |
