摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To widen a current measurement range by branching projection light from glass with Faraday effect into light beams in the straight direction and a perpendicular direction through a half-mirror, and monitoring the quantity of the light in the perpendicular direction. CONSTITUTION:Light is made incident on the glass 5 with Faraday effect which is arranged crossing a conductor 6 and travels round the conductor 6, and the projection light from the glass 5 is led out as the quantity of light by an analyzer 12 to measure the current of the conductor 6. Half-mirrors 10 and 11 are installed at the output side of the glass 5 and the projection light A is branched through the half-mirror 10 into the quantity B of light in the straight direction and the quantity C of light in the perpendicular direction. The quantity B of light is led out through an analyzer 7 and the quantity C of light is reflected by right angles through the half-mirror 11 and led out of an analyzer 12. The angle of deflection rotation is proportional to the current flowing through the conductor 6 to be measured, so the current of the conductor 6 is calculated from measured values of the quantity B of light and the quantity C of light having the angle of deflection rotation. Then, the quantity C of light is led out as right- angled light having a different azimuth for the quantity B of light in the straight direction.</p>
