PURPOSE:To improve combination precision by allowing two weighing machines selected as the best combination to be selected in only one group. CONSTITUTION:For example, 12 weighing machines W1A-W6B are arranged in six groups. Here, (a) shown that 11 weighing machines except the weighing machine W4B whose zero point is adjusted (zero adjustment) are combined while two weighing machines in the same group are selected as the best combination and articles are discharged from one of those weighing machines. Then, (b) shows that the weighing machines W2A and W2B in the same group are selected as the best combination, and the zero adjustment flag of one weighing machine W2A is set to ''H''. In this case, all of the 12 weighing machines are joined in combinational arithemtic. Further, (c) shows that the weighing machine W2A whose zero adjustment flag is set to ''H'' before is adjusted to zero and other 11 machines are combined without duplication. Thus, the combination precision is improved.
