PURPOSE:To detect easily presence/absence of error by obtaining a check code with respect to data before switching to the power down mode and storing this check code in a storage part and reading out original data and the check code at a restoration time. CONSTITUTION:When the mode of a control part 1 is switched to the power down mode, data 20 in an area 21 of a storage part 2 is taken into a check code generating and checking part 13 before the operation to a power supply part 3 of a central processing unit 11. The check code is generated with respect to data 20 in the area 21, and this check code 23 is written in an area 22 of the storage part 2. When the control part 1 is restored from the power down mode, the central processing unit 11 connects the control part 1 to the power supply part 3 again, the information 20 and 23 in areas 21 and 22 of the storage part 2 are taken into the check code generating and checking part 13, and the generated check code 23 and data are compared with each other to check data. |
