PURPOSE:To extract the paper one by one from sheets of paper on a paper feed bed and align sheets of paper by disengaging a clutch and cutting off the drive force to a feed roller when the rear end of the paper leaves the feed roller. CONSTITUTION:When the tip of one sheet of paper fed by a roller 11 passes a roller 13 and a sensor 29 acknowledges the existence of the paper, the sensor 29 outputs a signal to a switch 33. Thereby, the switch 33 is deenergized, the power supply to a clutch 17 is stopped, and the rotation of the feed roller 11 is stopped. Next, when the rear end of this paper leaves the feed roller 11, only the roller 11 not driven and rotated by itself is coupled with a pairing separation roller 12 as a load, thus the roller 12 is rotated in the reverse paper feed direction. Thereby, sheets of paper are prevented from being fed while kept skew and are extracted one by one in parallel with the rollers 11, 12 and are aligned. |
