PURPOSE:To prevent inclusion of air and gas into a product and to perform satisfactory die casting by interrupting the communication between a cavity and the atm. after a molten metal is packed into an injection sleeve. CONSTITUTION:Dies are clamped and a rod 11 is moved rightward to open a valve 8. The molten metal is poured into the injection sleeve 12 through a molten metal pouring port 12a thereof and a plunger 13 is advanced to pack the molten metal into the sleeve 12. Since the valve 8 is open in this stage, the air in the sleeve 12 is released through a runner 20, a gate 23 and an evacuating passage 18 to the atm. A limit switch 15 detects the plunger 13 upon advancing of said plunger to a prescribed extent and stops once the advance of the plunger 13. The thermally decomposed gas generated in the sleeve 12 is released into the atm. through the same route as for the air. The rod 11 is moved leftward to close the valve 8 upon lapse of the specified time, then the plunger 13 is advanced to inject the molten metal in the sleeve 12 into the product cavity 19. |
