PURPOSE:To obtain a device for purifying the drawing liquid of a drawing mill capable of effectively separating the sludge contained in the drawing liquid by a relatively compact constitution by forming the device so as to purify the drawing liquid of drawing mill by the combination of gravity settling and forced separation by using a cyclone. CONSTITUTION:A sludge-containing drawing liquid sent out from drawing mills A1-A4 through a return-oil circuit 11 is stored in a primary storing tank 15, and heavy sludge is settled and accumulated at its bottom to scrape out it to the outside. A supernatant liquid containing light suspended sludge is fed 3 to a cyclone 14, and the sludge is forcibly separated and concentrated by a centrifugal force and is falled in a secondary storing tank 16 to discharge it, and the purified liquid is sent to a purified liquid tank 17. The tank 17 sets the flow rate of sending water while constantly allowing the small amount of purified water to overflow to the tank 15 side from an overflow weir 22, and the fine sludge suspending on the liquid surface is returned to the tank 15; the purified drawing liquid at the lower part of tank is returned through a return circuit 31 to feed it to each mill A. During this time, a temperature sensor 6 is actuated when the liquid temperature in the tank 17 rises to >= a prescribed temperature, and a cooling means 27 is operated to cool the liquid to the prescribed temperature, or a heater 29 is actuated to heat the liquid to the prescribed temperature.
