PURPOSE:To prevent generation of creases and distortion and to improve the accuracy of product by using the hold of an auxiliary pad incorporated in a punch as the free end side of the flange part in restriking a preliminary bent flange part of a panel work. CONSTITUTION:A slidable auxiliary pad 11 is provided at the inside of a punch 6 to adjoin the punch. This is energized downward by an elastic body 10, and a stepped part 12 is provided on the forming face 1a of a die 1. Thus, when the pad 11 is in free state, the pad 11 is more projected than the punch 6. As the restriking process, the panel work W having preliminary bent flange part F1 is put in the die 1. Unlike in the past, the bead part of the work W is not trimmed. The work W is then held by the pad 3 and die 1, the whole of a cam 5 is slid in the direction A, and the free end of the part F1 is held by the pad 11 prior to the punch 6, and fixed tension is given to the part F1. Then, the punch 6 formes the part F1 to a flange part of specified form. |
