PURPOSE:To miniaturize a timer device and to set easily the time by counting the charge/discharge frequency of a charge/discharge circuit which repeats the charge and discharge to display and set the time according to the count output and therefore correcting the charge/discharge time constant to a small value from the difference between a certain reference time point and a set time point. CONSTITUTION:A counter circuit 2 of a timer device incorporated to a household electric appliance, etc. receives charge/discharge signal from a charge/discharge circuit 1. The LEDs 6-10 of a display circuit 5 which are glowing at a counting start time point are turned off according to the count value. These LEDs are all turned off when the count value reaches a prescribed level. While a time setting means 4 sets the time and the charge/discharge of the circuit 1 is started. If the set time is smaller than a certain reference time, the time constant is reduced by a charge/discharge time constant changing means 3 for a time equivalent to the difference between both said times. Then the counting speed is accelerated temporarily for correction of the set time. Thus the time can be set with operation of a terminal with high accuracy by a compact and light-weight timer device. |
