PURPOSE:To obtain the diaphragm type carburettor equipped with a starting device of simple structure by a method wherein the discharging fuel of a suction type primary pump for the diaphragm type carburettor is introduced into the fuel reservoir of a bystarter type starting device provided in a fuel tank. CONSTITUTION:The metering chamber 14 of the carburettor equipped with a diaphragm 9 is connected to the suction type primary pump 25. Pushing operation of the primary pump 26 consisting of elastic bodies is repeated by a finger before starting an engine and whereby the fuel from an inlet port 5 is flowed into a pump chamber 6, an inflow valve 8 and the metering chamber 14. Further, the discharging fuel of the pump 25 enters into the fuel reserving chamber 31 of the bystarter type starting device 30 provided in the upper part of the fuel tank 1 while overflow fuel flows into the tank naturally through a hole 32. When the engine is to be started, a piston 39 is lifted up and cranking is effected, then, the fuel is mixed with air and the mixture is induced into the engine as the fuel for starting. |
