PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of the lens barrel and to improve its assembly by providing a cam follower which moves along a cam groove according to the circumferential motion of a plate material and a lens holding frame which is energized in an optical axis direction. CONSTITUTION:The lens holding frame 23 engaged slidably in the axial direction of a guide pole 22 held between plates 19 and 19' has a fixed lens 24 with an optical axis A-A' and engages threadably the cam follower 25 which engages the cam groove. When a zoom lever 26 is energized in the circumferential direction, a plate material 21 having the cam groove 20 enters rotary motion under the guidance of the internal surfaces of a cylindrical member 18 and surfaces 27 and 27' and 28 and 28' of annular plates 19 and 19'. At this time, the cam follower 25 moves along the cam groove 20 and the lens holding frame is energized in the optical axis direction of the lens 24. Consequently, the member provided with the cam groove 20 is assembled in a direction perpendicular to the axis and the assembly is attained only by adjusting the positions of the cam groove 20 and lens holding frame 23. |
