PURPOSE:To make it possible to know the kind of workpieces which may not be determined as to their kind by merely obserbing their external appearance, by providing a workpiece kind holding memory mechanism part to each conveyor device so that the kind of workpieces may be known by merely observing the set condition of the memory mechanism part. CONSTITUTION:When a memory mechanism part 5 attached to an overhead conveyor device body to which workpieces are loaded when it has come to a loading position, has come to a most suitable position in relation to a workpiece setting electromagnetic coil 6, another detecting sensor detects the condition to energize the coil 6, and therefore, a photoelectric absorbing plate 8 is pulled up to a position above a pin stopper 12 which is a second position, and is held at that position. As a result, this memory condition is permanently held unless it is pushed in by a human force or is pulled down by an electromagnetic coil 7.
