<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the optical fiber cable extending device capable of wire extension without any damage to an optical fiber cable by suspending the optical fiber cable from a rope which is long enough to cover the overall length of an extension route. CONSTITUTION:Cable receivers 2 are fitted to the rope 1 extending to the overall length of the extension route at equal intervals. A metallic wheel 4 for wire extension is suspended from electric poles 3, etc., arrayed along the extension route. The tip of the rope 1 is connected to a messanger wire at the entrance of the extension route and the tip of the optical fiber cable 5 is fixed to the cradle 2f of one cable receiver 2 for the rope 1; and the messanger wire is drawn to driven the rope 1, thereby mounting the optical fiber cable of cradles 2f of cable receivers 2 which come to the entrance of the route successively. When one cable receiver 2 passes through the metallic wheel 4, the suspension link 2d of the cable receiver 2 pressed by a guide frame 3f away from a grooved pulley 4e and the cable receiver 2, therefore, run at distance from the metallic wheel when passing through the metallic wheel 4, so that no unreasonable force operates on the optical fiber cable.</p> |
