PURPOSE:To enable a continuous stable recording by arranging an ink tube near a recording head in a specified direction to keep air from mixing into an ink chamber of the recording head from a nozzle due to impact when carrier returns. CONSTITUTION:An ink tube 11 is so arranged as to make the ink feed direction the same as the return direction of the carrier 4 at portions 11b and 11c parallel to the direction of moving the carrier 4. With such an arrangement, when the carrier 4 returns in the direction of the arrow Q and stops with stop members 22a and 22b, ink move in the direction of the arrow Q by an inertial force through the ink tube 11 near an ink feed port 31 and within the portions 11b and 11c parallel to the direction of moving the carrier. But as this phenomenon is the same that ink flows in the direction of the arrow 30, no air will mix into the ink chamber from a nozzle 25 even occurring the overflow of the ink 26 from the nozzle 25. |
