PURPOSE:To obtain an antidazzle effect by having a substrate glass, a thin film which is formed on the substrate glass and has the property to reflect light and the property to allow transmission of light and a mirror housing for contg. and fixing the above-described substrate glass. CONSTITUTION:A reflection mirror for a automobile has the substrate glass 1. The 1st thin film 2 consisting of a transparent material having a high refractive index is formed on one surface of the glass 1 and the 2nd thin film 3 consisting of a material having low refractive index is formed thereon. The 3rd thin film consisting of a transparent material having a high refractive index is further formed thereon. A colored mirror 10 consisting of the glass 1, the films 2, 3, 4 and a light diffusion film 5 is housed and fixed in a mirror housing 6 in such a direction where the film 4 faces outward. The reflectivity around 4,500Angstrom is maximized if a design wavelength lambda0 is set at 4,500Angstrom without lighting a light source 7 in the daytime. The antidazzle effect is thus obtd. |
