PURPOSE:To enhance the cooling efficiency of a bearing in a slide bearing device for an electrical rotary machine, by making a hole in a support plate, axially therethrough. CONSTITUTION:In a device comprising a slide bearing 3 which bears thereon an oil ring 2, a bearing box 5 stores therein lubrication oil, etc. a hole 7 is formed axially therethrough. With this arrangement, the amount of radiated heat which is transmitted from the outer surface of the slide bearing 3 to the lubrication oil through the support plate 6 is increased so that the cooling efficiency of the slide bearing 3 may be exhanced, thereby increases in the temperature of the slide bearing may be made smaller than that of conventional slide bearings. |
