PURPOSE:To obtain an amorphous soft-magnetic alloy having high saturation magnetization and high heat resistance by adding Y or Lu to an amorphous soft- magnetic Co-Zr-Nb alloy having a specified composition. CONSTITUTION:This amorphous soft-magnetic alloy consists of, by atom, <=10% Zr, 4-10% Nb, 1-8% Y or Lu and the balance Co. The alloy has high saturation magnetization and a high crystallization temp. For example, it has 12kG saturation magnetization, 545 deg.C crystallization temp. and 0.1 Oe coercive force when the composition is represented by a formula Co91Zr2Nb5Y2.
