PURPOSE:To improve the resistance to slippage in rain and the braking effect on ice, by driving and burying stud-type inserting members into a tread rubber layer of a vulcanized tire. CONSTITUTION:A high-performance pneumatic rubber tire is realized by burying stud-type inserting members in a rubber layer of the tire with their heads exposed. Each of said inserting members consists of a molded body of resin or rubber having a hardness of 80 deg. or less according to a JISK6301:A type hardness meter and exceeding the hardness of the tread rubber by 2-10 deg.. Further, each of these inserting members has a ground contact area of 0.2-1.5cm<2>, and the rubber or resin used as material of the inserting members should have such physical properties that the ratio of the loss elastic modulus to the storage elastic modulus is 0.3 or more at a temperature of 10-20 deg.C and the storage elastic modulus at -20 deg.C is 2.0X10<8>dyn/cm<2> or less. |
