PURPOSE:To improve the holding capability of a bead, by composing an elastic ring of a main body to be arranged between the inner peripheral edge of an inner ring and a rim and of a shock-absorbing portion to be arranged on the lower side of the inner ring and provided with a shock-absorbing space portion and with a tension-resistive member. CONSTITUTION:An elastic ring 13 is arranged between the outer peripheral edge of a rim and the inner peripheral edge of an inner ring of a safety tire for preventing the inner ring and the rim from being worn and for preventing the tire bead from being disengaged from the rim. This elastic ring 13 is composed of a main body 13a arranged between the inner peripheral edge of the inner ring and the rim and of a shock-absorbing portion 13b arranged on the lower side of the inner ring. The shock-absorbing portion 13b is provided with a space portion 14 so that it is facilitated to be moved by compression toward the axis of the tire. The elastic ring 13 is further provided with an annular tension-resistive member 17 buried in the end portion thereof applied against the bead in order to secure its dimensional stability in the radial direction. |
