PURPOSE:To prevent the vibration of an engine and reduce the weight by utilizing an imbalance weight installed onto a crankshaft. CONSTITUTION:In order to balance the primary component of the weight of a reciprocating movement part on a crankshaft 1, each weight is put at the position advancing by 150 deg. in the direction of revolution for the corresponding crank pins #1-#3 so that alpha=270 deg. and beta=90 deg., as shown in the figure. In order to secure the WR-corresponding imbalance weight 2, a balance hole 3 for the WR-corresponding imbalance is formed at the position revolved by 180 deg.. Each position of the crank pins #1-#3 and the distance from the center are l, lF, lR, as shown in the figure. The imbalance weights WF and WR are installed onto a crank pulley 4 and a flywheel 5, respectively. While, a counterweight WW is installed onto each cylinder, and the crankshaft 1 is equipped with a timing belt 6 for driving auxiliaries. Therefore, for the #2 position, l can be determined on designing, and can be easily adjusted so that the weight of the revolution part = counterweight (WW). |
