PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a wheel for rendering it lightweight and to improve the strength and the like of a rim and spokes, by providing mounting bosses on both sides of a hub, arranging a rim and spokes between these mounting bosses, and integrally joining them by means of bolts inserted through them. CONSTITUTION:Mounting bosses 1a are integrally formed on the both sides of a hub 1. A wheel member 2 consisting of a rim 2 and of spokes 2b integrally formed with the rim 2 is fitted between the mounting bosses 1a with a gap (b) predetermined for the assembly. A brake disk 4 is provided on the outer side of each mounting boss 1a and clamped together with the wheel member 2 by means of plurality of bolts 5 and nuts 6. According to such construction, the weight can be reduced the construction of the hub 1 is simplified, the strength and the rigidity of the rim 2a and spokes 2b can be improved since the width B in which they are mounted is increased, and they can be maintained in the clamped state due to the tension effect given by the bolts 5 clamping them. Moreover, the same hub 1 can be used for combining a variety of rims and spokes. |
