<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the necessary time for assembly by installing a minute angle adjusting mechanism for a pad part between a pad-side sun gear and the pad part. CONSTITUTION:When steering operation is carried-out by turning a ring part 5, a boss plate 3 turns, and the planetary gears 14 and 15 fixed onto the both planetary shafts 13 rotate and revolve around sun gears 7 and 9. At this time, a pad part 10 certainly maintains stationary state for a column 1. In the final assembly process for a steering wheel, the bottom plate 10a of the pad part 10 is fixed onto the sun gear 9 through a circular elliptical fastening hole 11 by a bolt 12. Therefore, the pad part 10 can be turned by the angle of the fastening hole 11 around an installation cylinder part 9a by loosening the bolt 12, and the pad part 10 can be turning-adjusted to a proper position.</p> |
