PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of the electric circuit of the camera exposure controller by reading film speed information displayed on a film cartridge and setting an exposure decision voltage through a resistance. CONSTITUTION:The film speed information of specific digits displayed on the film cartridge is read through film speed readout contacts SA-SE and either of the contacts SD and SE corresponding to the low-order digits of the read contents is made. Then, transistors (TR) 122 and 199 turn on and a TR118 turns off to set a manual film reaction changeover switch 117 in an ineffective state. The exposure decision voltage of a comparator 105 supplied with the measured value through a photodetecting element 102 and a capacitor 103 for integration, on the other hand, is set through setting resistances 109-111 according to the read film speed information obtained through the contacts SA-SC and exposure control is performed on the basis of the film speed. Thus, the camera exposure controller which consists of a small number of electronic components such as TRs and has simple electric circuit constitution is obtained.
