PURPOSE:To secure a stable catching force for a work having largely different plate thickness by installing a comb-shaped hook which can be revolved through pin connection so that the contact part with a work is set in parallel along the work and shifting the center of revolution and the center of gravity of the hook. CONSTITUTION:Since a comb-shaped rotary cutter 4 is prepared so that the center is positioned on the left side from the center of a connecting pin 5, said cutter 4 is in tilted state when a catching device is opened, and the top edge namely a work insertion part is in opened state. When a work is inserted into the work insertion part and the catching device is closed, the comb-shaped cutter 4 can revolve around the connecting pin 5, and is pushed along the work surface. Though the pulling force of a pressurizing cylinder 10 is transmitted to the comb-shaped cutter 4 through a catching arm 6 and presses the work at this time, said pressurizing force is made uniform and presses the work, since the contact between the work and the comb-shaped rotary cutter 4 is the whole-surface contact, and the cutter is formed into comb form. Therefore, the work can be caught stably, and since the work insertion part is sufficiently opened, the work catching work is facilitated.
