PURPOSE:To promote automatization, to reduce treatment labor, and to increase number of treated foods, by heat-treating packed foods while transporting continuously a great number of pallets placing the packed foods. CONSTITUTION:A great number of the packed foods A are placed on the pallets 5, the pallets 5 are placed on the conveyor 4, and the motor 7 is driven, so that the pallets 5 are transferred to the lift 9. When the pallets 5 reach a given position of the lift 9, the rise of the movable sprocket wheel 12 is stopped. Since the roller chain 14 continues rotation even by the stoppage, the roller chain 14 is rotated while the lift 9 is positioned at the upper limit point, and the pallets are transferred to the conveyor 8.
