An automatic telephone answering device with a voice synthesis device can automatically transmit messages stored in a memory to a transmitter, and can record the transmitted contents from the transmitter into a recording device. A ring signal terminal is connected with a ring-signal detecting element (1), a relay (2) and a primary transformer coil. A microprocessor is connected with the ring-signal detecting element(1), a key matrix element (4), the voice synthesis device (5) and a wave-shaping element (6).
