PURPOSE:To always properly keep chlorine concentration by measuring chlorine concentration in electrolyte and operating a gas pump by which chlorine gas is supplied to a gas-liquid mixture, and controlling the pressure within a chlorine gas storage tank in a specified value. CONSTITUTION:Electrolyte is supplied from an electrolyte tank 2 to a zinc-chlorine battery 1 with a pump 3, and a chlorine concentration meter 5 is set in a return circuit 4b. A gas-liquid mixture 6 is connected to a supply circuit 4a through a flow dividing pipe 7 and connected to the electrolyte tank 2, and also connected to a hydrate tank 8 in which chlorine gas is storaged as hydrate through a gas pump 12. Operation of the gas pump 12 is controlled by a value measured by the chlorine concentration meter, and pressure within the hydrate tank 8 is kept in a setting value by controlling a heat exchanger 10 in the tank 8 with a value measured by a pressure gauge 9. Therefore, chlorine concentration in electrolyte is accurately kept and pressure within the tank 8 is decreased to increase cell performance and safety. |
