PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive device resistant to noise by generating a pulse with different length and a start pulse and a sectioning pulse with a prescribed length corresponding to the state of an information signal, e.g., the level of the pulse to transmit a pulse train. CONSTITUTION:Information signals S1-Sn from plural information sources IS1- ISn at the transmission side are multiplexed by a multiplex circuit 1, subjected to E/O conversion and an optical signal is transmitted to an optical fiber 3 as a multiplex signal Sm. In the multiplex signal Sm, the start pulse Sb with a prescribed width is inserted every time the information source ISi is changed, pulses Pl and Ps with different widths are generated in response to the level of the pulse and the sectioning pulse Pd of a prescribed width is formed between the pulses Pl and Ps. The multiplex signal Sm is subjected to O/E conversion 4 at the reception side and an electric signal is formed, then the information at the information sources IS1-ISn is extracted by a separation circuit 5 and fixed to receivers R1-Rn. Thus, the system resistant to noise is formed inexpensively. |
