PURPOSE:To manufacture silver contact, etc. of desired shapes with decreased material losses by putting press-lancing lines in the intended bending parts of a plate material, separating the lancing lines and subjecting the material to shearing simultaneously with bending. CONSTITUTION:Symmetrical pilot lances 3 of a V shape are formed successively on both sides in the width direction of the intended cutting lines 2 of a plate material 1 such as silver contact material. The top and bottom surfaces of the parts required for bending of the intended cutting lines 2 are press welded and lancing lines 4 of a V shape in section produced with bridges 5 are put therein. The similar shallow lancing lines are applied between the lines 4. Thence, the parts beyond the lines 4 are bent square in the width direction; at the same time the remaining parts between the lines 4 and 4 of the lines 2 are shorn to produce the products. By this method, the silver contact, etc. are bent as desired with virtually no material losses. |
