PURPOSE:To stably hold a good liquid droplet forming characteristic over a long period of time and enhance the durability of a recording head, by providing a mechanical shock avoiding part to an electrothermal converter. CONSTITUTION:An electrothermal converter 1 is provided onto a substrate 3 along with an electrode 2 and liquid droplets are flied to a Y-Y' direction or a direction vertical to the surface of paper. Because air bubbles are generated while the emission of liquid droplet is performed from an orifice, an air bubble disappearing position is moved by the flight direction of liquid droplets or the factor of a structure for supplying liquid droplets to the electrothermal converter 1 but movement is performing along the Y-Y' axis and does not miss the electrothermal converter 1. A mechanical shock avoiding part 4 is provided corresponding to the air bubble disappearing position. By this mechanical shock avoiding part 4, the electrothermal converter 1 is avoided from receiving damage because mechanical shock due to air bubbles is absorbed even if generated and the durability of a recording head is enhanced. Because the electrothermal converter 1 receives no damage, the generation of air bubble is stabilized and an initial good liquid droplet forming characteristic can be stably held over a long period of time. |
