PURPOSE:To decrease power consumption by turning on a switch element to drive a load and a thyristor at the same time thereby using a thyristor while avoiding a complicated circuit. CONSTITUTION:When an input IN is brought into an H level and a transistor (TR)Q5 is turned on, a thyristor SCR1 is turnedon to charge a piezoelectric element CL. Then the input IN is brought into an L level, a TRQ2 is turned on and brought into the saturating state, then the discharge current of the piezoelectric element CL flows through a resistor RL, a diode D1 and the TRQ2 and also a gate potential VG of the thyristor SCR1 is lowered nearly to an earth potential. In this case, a cathode potential V0 of the thyristor SCR1 is brought into a state higher than the gate VG by a forward voltage of the diode D1, biased reversely and the thyristor SCR1 is turned off. Thus, the piezoelectric element is driven for charge/discharge with a simple circuit employing the thyristor. |
