PURPOSE:To attain to form a high density liquid jet recording head, in the liquid jet recording head having a substrate having a heat generation element, wherein electrodes are provided to a heat generating resistance layer, as a part of constitution, by using one electrode constituting each of two sets of heat generation elements as a common electrode and folding back the same. CONSTITUTION:A heat generating resistance layer 302 is provided on a substrate 301 and electrodes 303, 304 are provided on the heat generating resistance layer 302. The electrode 304 is provided so as to correspond to each heat generation part and this heat generation part is a selection electrode supplying a current according to a liquid droplet emitting pattern and selectively generating heat. The electrode 304 is a common one connected to the heat generation part provided so as to correspond to each of the electrodes 304 and has a shape of a folded-back electrode and power is supplied to both of heat generating resistance layers 302-1, 302-2 by one folded-back electrode. By this constitution, the highly densified arrangement of liquid flowlines is enabled and the densification of a recording head can be achieved. |
