PURPOSE:To suppress temperature increase caused by breaking of heat balance by detecting the temperature of a reforming pipe of a fuel reformer, comparing the detected temperature with a setting value, and controlling a flow rate control valve of a cooling gas supply pipe installed near a burner. CONSTITUTION:Fuel gas is introduced in a reforming pipe 2 of a fuel reformer 1, and reformed by high temperature gas obtained by burning with a burner 7 gas supplied from a line 5, then supplied to a fuel cell 12. A cooling gas supply pipe 15 and a flow rate control valve 16 are set near the burner 7 to supply noninflammable gas as cooling gas. Temperature of the reforming pipe 2 is detected with a detector 17 and the detected value is compared with the setting temperature ts with a controller 18 and valve opening of the flow rate control valve 16 is controlled. Temperatue increase caused by breaking of heat balance in the reformer 1 when a load is changed is suppressed. Quality of catalyst layer in reforming reaction is maintained and reliability is increased. |
