PURPOSE:To observe sharply a moving object while utilizing a noise reduction effect by an afterimage characteristic of an image pickup tube by comparing a video signal of a present frame and a video signal of a preceding frame at each picture element and discriminating the difference. CONSTITUTION:An X-ray transmitting video signal of an object 2 obtained from a camera control unit 5 is transmitted to a monitor device 7 via an X-ray picture processing unit 6 and displayed on real time. The X-ray picture processing unit 6 is provided with switching circuits 60, 61 by which the display of the X- ray tomography image displayed without any signal processing and picture display with signal processing are selected. When the signal processing is executed, after the video signal is digitized by an A/D converter 62, it is stored in a frame memory 63 and fed to a subtractor 64 with one frame period of delay. The present one frame and the one frame just before are subtracted at each picture element by the subtractor 64 and this difference is fed to a momentum discriminating circuit 65 and a coefficient K of a multiplier 66 is decided at each picture element.
