PURPOSE:To take a copy of small size which is high in frequency at a high speed by peforming such control that a specific time is provided between the scanning exposure operation of an original and returning operation in response to a detection signal which indicates the size of copy paper is large. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic latent image corresponding to an original image is visualized into a toner image, which is transferred to copy paper and then fixed by a heat fixing device. This copying machine never spoils the copy speed of copy paper of relatively small size which is high in copy frequency and the necessary current of the whole copying machine is suppressed. For the purpose, the detection signal of a detecting means 6 which detects the kind of the copy paper is led to a microcomputer CPU and when the detection signal indicating that the copy paper is of large size is inputted, the specific stop time is provided between the scanning exposure operation of the original and returning operation. |
