摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent an ink doner film (IDF) from being wasted, by a method wherein the feeding quantity of the IDF after completion of a recording operation is controlled in accordance with whether or not the margin amount of a recording paper is larger than the distance between a recording part and a releasing part. CONSTITUTION:An IDF feed controlling circuit 14 is inputted with a paper leading end detection signal from a position sensor 11 provided on the upstream side of the recording part, a signal from a circuit 13 for detecting the time of completion of recording from the detection of the trailing end of the paper, and a signal from an image signal end time detecting circuit 12. A margin amount calculating circuit 140 calculates the margin amount from the time difference between the signal from the sensor 11 and the signal from the circuit 12, a preset feeding quantity of the IDF, and the distance l1 between the sensor 11 and the recording part and the distance l2 between the recording part and the releasing part which distances are read from a data table 142. A feeding quantity of the IDF after completion of recording is calculated by a feeding quantity calculating circuit 143, and after completion of recording, the IDF is fed by the calculated feeding quantity separately from the feeding of the recording paper. Accordingly, consumption of the IDF can be reduced.
