<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the replenishing amount of water, by cooling the recirculation medium reciculated in a wet waste gas desulfurization apparatus while cooling waste gas flowing through a desulfurization apparatus by the recirculation medium and recovering water from high humidity waste gas. CONSTITUTION:In a composite plant equipped with a boiler 1 using a slurry comprising a mixture of coal and water as fuel and a wet waste gas desulfurization apparatus for bringing waste gas generating from the boiler 1 into contact with an absorbent comprising a limestone slurry, an absorbing solution cooling pipe 7 is immersed in the limestone slurry of an absorbing tower 5 to cool the slurry. By this mechanism, moisture carried out of the system by waste gas is reduced. Not only the volume of waste gas is reduced by the cooling of the limestone slurry but also the power consumption of an suction blower 2 is reduced.</p> |
