PURPOSE:To assure braking force during stoppage of car thus to improve the safety by functioning an electromagnet locking unit or locking while engaging with a stopper gear provided in the power transmission system during stoppage of a car while disabling when starting. CONSTITUTION:A stopper gear 1 is provided on the output shaft 14 of an automatic speed changer. The plunger 28 of an electromagnetic locking unit 2 is provided engagably with said stopper gear 1. Upon stepping of brake pedal 6 during travel, an operating switch 31 and a brake detection switch 7 will close. Upon stoppage of a car, a car speed detection switch 8 will close to excite the coil 33 of relay 32 thus to close a switch 5. Consequently, the plunger 28 of locking unit 2 will move upward to engage with the stopper gear 1 thus to brake the wheel 13. Upon stepping of an accelerator pedal 4 at start, a switch 9 will close to excite a coil 40 thus to open a switch 5. Consequently, said unit 2 is released to enable rotation of wheel 13. |
