PURPOSE:To attain conservation of energy, in a dust collection apparatus, by making it possible to arrange a main body, which consists of a filter chamber having a filter bag received therein in a freely detachable manner and a motor chamber having a suction motor arranged therein, in the vicinity of a spot welding machine. CONSTITUTION:Welding fume generated at a welding place W by suction force, which is generated by driving the motor 8 of a motor chamber 5, is sucked into a filter chamber 6 through a flexible duct 20. A filter bag 14 formed by laminating ceramic filters 13 is received in the filter chamber 6 in a freely detachable manner and the welding fume is filtered by the filter bag 14 while purified air is exhausted from an exhaust port 12.
