The invention relates to a fuel economising device for internal-combustion engines in motor vehicles. It consists of a solenoid valve 1 controlling the supply to the idling circuit, the current to this valve being controlled by the combination of a centrifugal electrical contactor 2 coupled to the motor and a contactor 3 actuated by a ring 10 mounted on the link rods 11 controlling the throttle. In the event of deceleration, the idling circuit is interrupted by the solenoid valve 1 until the speed of the engine has dropped below the normal idling speed. Chief application: petrol or diesel engines for motor vehicles. <IMAGE>
