Method for the manufacture of a filing wallet closed by means of an elastic band, and wallets obtained by this process. The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a filing wallet closed by an elastic band which is fixed at two points by means of rivets or eyelets and slides through a third point. This method consists in making four holes A, B, C, D in a wallet and cutting the card or other material of the wallet between the holes B, C in order to create a slit F between these two holes. The elastic band fixed by the eyelets in the holes A, D is forced to pass through the slit F; the elastic band can therefore slide through the two holes B, C, allowing easy closure of the wallet. The method of the invention is chiefly intended for the manufacture of filing wallets closed by means of an elastic band. <IMAGE>
