PURPOSE:To aim at prevention of power drop as well as reduction of NOX amount by installing injection valves and regulator valves in a pre-combustion region, a pre-mixing region on the inlet side of catalyst and a gas-phase combustion region on the outlet side of catalyst respectively. CONSTITUTION:First injection valve 7/regulator valve 10, second injection valve 13/regulator valve 11 and third injection valve 14/regulator valve 12 are installed in a pre-combustion region A, a pre-mixing region B on the inlet side of catalyst 9 and a gas-phase combustion region C on the outlet side of catalyst respectively, in an internal cylinder 3. Signals from temperature detectors 18, 19 are transmitted to operation units 15, 16 so as to make open/close control of each regulator valve for maintaining the amount of combustion gas constant without allowing any shortage or surplus. Any drop of output can be prevented as well as the amount of NOX can be reduced, in this way. |
