PURPOSE:To prevent unintended starting of car by lowering the engine rotation upon operation of shift lever of an automatic speed changer even if the engine is not warmed and the idle rotation is high. CONSTITUTION:Under operation of engine, a control circuit 30 will decide whether it is required to lower the idle rotation. YES answer is produced when a neutral start switch 44 is off, the cooling water temperature to be detected through a cooling water sensor 41 is lower than predetermined level, a stop lamp switch 45 and a parking brake switch 46 are off, the engine rotation to be obtained from the output of a crank angle sensor 43 is higher than predetermined level and the car speed to be detected through a car speed sensor 42 is lower than predetermined level. Upon decision of YES, setting idle rotation lower than that under normal warming is employed to control the step motor 21 of an idle rotation control valve. |
