Security closure device for a door, comprising a sliding locking bar disposed transversely over the entire width of the latter. Instead of a single locking bar, the present device comprises two transverse bars 1a, 1b which are mounted so as to slide one over the other and which, on the side of the opening edge of the corresponding door, are solidly connected to each other by a junction piece 12. Now, the latter is coupled, via a movement-converting mechanism, with a drive plug similar to that of a cylinder lock and which is capable of being actuated from the outside with a key and from the inside by means of a rotary button. This coupling mechanism is thus capable of moving the two locking bars translationally under the effect of the rotation of this plug. This device is intended to equip doors of flats or any other doors to be protected against attempts at breaking in. <IMAGE>
