The present invention relates to an alignment device for an assembly screw for door fitting plates. This device comprises a tubular element 1 mounted in a drilled hole 9 formed in the thickness of the door leaf 8. A female screw 3 is embedded in one of its ends. A male screw 5 is inserted, with clearance, in the other end and is guided, in order to be screwed into the female screw 3, by a restriction 4 provided in a central portion of the bore of the tubular element 1.
